Hospital course note

Dear colleague, I am writing to inform you regarding our shared patient, a 69-year-old male admitted on 04.07.2019 due to suspected primary malignant neoplasm of the colon. Following admission, diagnostic workup including colonoscopy, CT imaging of abdomen and pelvis, and histopathological examination confirmed a primary malignant neoplasm of the colon. Staging investigations revealed no distant metastases. After multidisciplinary team discussion, the patient underwent surgical resection of the affected colonic segment. The postoperative course was uneventful. Histopathology confirmed complete resection with clear margins. The patient was discharged in stable condition on 12.07.2019. Oncological follow-up including consideration of adjuvant chemotherapy has been arranged. Please monitor for wound healing and general recovery. Do not hesitate to contact us should any concerns arise.
